In my current position as Artist Fellow at City & Guilds of London Art School, I am developing my drawing practice through intaglio printmaking processes. My work is rooted in observation and I think of my pictures as performances or plays of some kind. I have written about drawings for publications such as Art UK, and I have designed and led workshops on drawing and performance in schools and arts institutions.
Collaborative partners include the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol , the Derek Jarman Lab, and Raindance Film Festival. In 2025 I carried out an artist residency in Barcelona with ‘La Maldita Estampa’ studio. I developed a series of drawings and etchings inspired by the
works on paper of Francisco de Goya. I have recently had a solo exhibition ‘Edward Richards: Prints & Drawings’ of prints and drawings at the Hill Station Café, in London (Nov-Dec 2025).
